Synergy Surfboards are designed for performance, first and foremost. And if given the choice, we believe an environmentally responsible choice is the the only way to go. At Synergy, we offer the most eco-friendly solutions available in today’s market, without sacrificing an ounce of performance.

THE PROCESS
We begin with a 100% recycled EPS foam core. EPS is much less volitile than traditionally used polyeurethane to begin with, and our foam cores are not only 100% recycled, but are able to be recycled again and again, reducing the waste and carbon footprint dramatically.

Next, we laminate with a bamboo fiber, in place of traditional fiberglass. Fiberglass requires an enormous amount of energy to produce and is highly toxic in both production and degradation. Bamboo is fully sustainable and degradable. You do the math here.

Our resins are plant based, rather than petroleum based, and the harmful chemical properties that are traditionally associated with resins in surfboard manufacture have been rendered inert. This means it is not only safe in terms of disposal in a landfill, but it is also safer to use in production. The health of our team is very important to us, and this is a major plus in every way!

In addition, we use bio-plastic leash plugs, bamboo stringers and are currently in development of 100% recycled composite fin systems.
